Off the beaten path:
Outside of Flagler St and Brickell Av, you can find great dining options such as locally owned and operated Cvi.Che105 at 105 NE 3rd Av. At Cvi.Che, Chef Juan Chipoco delights dinners with traditional Peruvian cuisine in a very casual atmosphere. The dish names alone get you excited in anticipation and since Peru has had such a varierty of influences in its cuisine, ask for some of the history behind the dishes. Some of our favorites are the Causa as an appetizer, the lomo salteado, and of course, Chef Chipoco's unique rendition of the traditional Ceviche.
Here is a tip if you want to spice things up a bit, ask the waiter to bring you a little bit of “Tiger’s Milk” (not on the menu yet, but very traditional) and pour a little bit onto any of the rice or fish dishes… it will kick it up a notch! There are no reservations, so the best times to go are from 3-6pm when you can avoid the rush and enjoy what will surely be a delectable meal! |
