What is OPERATION B.A.T.?
Operation B.A.T. is a counter-terrorism awareness program sponsored by the Miami Police Department.
This initiative utilizes existing public/private partnerships to detect, deter and discourage acts of terrorism. The combination of public/private partnerships, coupled with terrorism awareness training and focused communication is a formula that the Miami Police Department employs successfully in the development of crime prevention and counter-terrorism strategies.
Given today’s ever-changing active shooter threat environment, preparing for and training employees to respond to active shooter situations, should be a key element of an organization’s emergency procedures. This presentation will allow owners, operators/teachers to examine vital issues they are likely to face prior to, during and after an active shooter attack.
