Miami, Florida. The Southeast Overtown/Park West Commmunity Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") has once again partnered with Film Life, Inc., the producers of the American Black Film Festival, to present the 3rd Annual Community Showcase of the American Black Film Festival. The Community Showcase serves as a promotion and marketing vehicle to attract the film and entertainment industry to Miami and to induce festival attendees and other visitors to support the local businesses within Miami's community redevelopment areas.
The Community Showcase will open on Wednesday, June 20 and close on Sunday, June 24, 2012 with a premier screening of select films submitted into the Community Showcase by local filmmakers highlighting the talent pool of Miami-Dade County. The screening will take place at the Carnival Studio Theatre at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County. The CRA is now accepting film entries for the Community Showcase. For more information on the call for entries or the Community Showcase, visit www.MiamiCRA.com.
