The NeverEnding Story

Popcorn Nights & O Cinema are proud to present Wolfgang Petersen’s THE NEVERENDING STORY: 30th Anniversary Screening.

It has been three decades since we were introduced to Bastian, Atreyu, Falkor and the amazing world of Fantasia. Although not as wildly referred to as other 80′s classics, “The Neverending Story” is one of those films that has stuck with many of us over the years. In the time before CGI, the filmmakers had to build new construct new worlds and “The Neverending Story” delvers us one of the best. Come join Popcorn Nights and O Cinema for this exclusive 30th Anniversary Screening and remember, there is NOTHING to be afraid of.

The NeverEnding Story is a 1984 West German epic fantasy film based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Ende. The film was directed and co-written by Wolfgang Petersen (his first English-language film) and starred Barret Oliver, Noah Hathaway, Tami Stronach, Moses Gunn, Thomas Hill, and Alan Oppenheimer as the voices of Falkor and Gmork. At the time of its release in 1984, it was the most expensive film produced outside the USA or the USSR. It was then followed by two sequels: “The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter” and “The NeverEnding Story III: Escape From Fantasia”.

Popcorn Nights and O-Cinema have teamed up for a special monthly retro movie night that will take place the last week of each month.
