MIAMI, Fla. - (May 2014) –Southeast Financial Center®, Florida’s tallest and largest office tower and plaza totaling 1.225 million square feet in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District, is pleased to announce the newest restaurant to join “local”-themed eateries Spris and The Cheese Course® within its Plaza: Ortanique’s famed executive chef / owner Cindy Hutson’s newest concept, Zest.
Playing up on the world food palate which made Hutson renowned in the global culinary scene, Zest will introduce Asian, South American and Caribbean influences into gourmet delights for lunch and dinner in a 3,500 square foot restaurant featuring a centralized, open concept kitchen, and al fresco dining for 75 guests. From its location in the heart of Miami’s CBD, Zest will house a private dining room secluded behind glass-walled wine cellar, catering to groups of up to 30 guests.
“Zest will introduce a new high-end level of dining at Southeast Financial Center,” said Mr. Greg Masin, Senior Director, Cushman & Wakefield, who represented Southeast Financial Center in the lease transaction. “The restaurant will enhance the vision of the Plaza, which includes an independent bookstore, several home-grown fast-casual dining options, and now this exciting culinary destination under the direction of Cindy, one of Miami’s most acclaimed chefs.”
In addition, Zest Mrkt, will feature a “grab-and-go” component offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options including fresh blended juices / smoothies, sandwiches, coffees and more. “South Florida has been our restaurant home for 20 years now. With Ortanique locations in Coral Gables, Grand Cayman and Harbour Island, the opportunity to be a part of the exciting growth of the epicenter of Downtown Miami is a perfect addition to our portfolio of culinary offerings,” said Hutson. “We are excited to introduce our newest concept into Southeast Financial Center’s robust business and surrounding community base.”
Following a trend of South Florida originated and inspired concepts drawn to the iconic Miami building, Zest joins a complementing tenancy at Southeast Financial Center including The Newsstand Café by Books & Books, Spris and The Cheese Course.
The most significantly leased tower in the state of Florida with approximately one million square feet under lease, Southeast Financial Center continues to attract and retain tenants of stature through its capital commitment to aesthetic, environmental and technological excellence. Last year, the building unveiled a multi-million dollar 17,000 square foot complete aesthetic and technological renovation to its three main lobbies. Additionally, the 30,000 square foot outdoor plaza was upgraded with granite pedestrian walkways, strategic seating areas, an enhanced park setting with shade trees and various foliage upgrades and planters, new lighting, and a convenient pick-up/drop-off location.
