Puig Coming to Flagler!

The legendary guayabera store founded by Ramon Puig, the "King of the Guayaberas" is set to open at 28 W. Flagler.

Trailblazer… pioneer, words eloquently describing the character of those that push forward with vision and action. Louis Puig “got it” when he opened Club Space a decade ago in what is now well known internationally as Downtown Miami’s Entertainment District. There are after all, many components to a thriving Downtown and having a pulsating nightlife is high on that list.

Following the fantastic success of Club Space, Louis opened the Burger & Beer Joint fulfilling a niche as the local neighborhood haunt that everyone goes to with locations in South Beach and Brickell...

This brings me to that well known proverb; "the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree"…

Louis Puig, the Downtown Miami nightlife and restaurant pioneer is opening a retail space right in the heart of the Central Business District. I had not made the connection until now, when Louis mentioned guayaberas and immediately another trailblazing pioneer came to mind, Ramon Puig. In speaking to Louis about this new space you could see a son beaming with pride as he spoke about his father.  Known internationally as “the King of the Guayaberas”, Ramon Puig fled Cuba in 1968 with a vision and passion to make it happen and make it happen he did, big time!

This will be an ideal addition to retail along Flagler. We will keep you posted on the opening and I'm first in line for a custom made guayabera dress!
